2026 Paschal Greeting

Come, all you faithful, let us venerate Christ’s holy Resurrection. For, behold, through the Cross joy has come into all the world.

Hymn from the Matins of Pacha

Pascha, 2026

Dear Faithful and Friends of the Church of Our Lady of Kazan,

Christ is risen!

With gratitude and wonder we come to this radiant Feast of Feasts. After walking together through Lent and Holy Week, we now stand before the empty tomb and hear the angel’s astonishing words: “He is not here—He is risen.” This is the joy that reshapes everything.

The Church proclaims, “Through the Cross, joy has come into all the world.” Pascha reveals this truth in full. The Cross—once a symbol of death—has become the doorway to life. Christ enters our suffering, transforms it, and fills even the darkest places with His light. Because of Him, no grief, no fear, no burden is beyond redemption.

The joy of the Resurrection is not fleeting or sentimental. It is the deep, steady joy of a world made new. And it is a joy meant to be shared. Pascha sends us out as bearers of hope, carrying the light of Christ into our homes, our work, and our community.

My prayer is that the Risen Lord fills your heart with peace, strengthens you with hope, and renews you with the joy that only He can give.

With love in the Risen Christ,

The Reverend Paul Hunchak
