After coffee hour on a frigid Sunday in February, parishioners and guests gathered for the
annual parish meeting of the Church of Our Lady of Kazan in Sea Cliff. In addition to reports
from the Rector, the Rev Paul Hunchak, the Warden, Vasil Rukavchenko, and the President of
the Trustees, Sophia Kishkovsky, there were financial reports from the Treasurer, Igor Tchibirev,
and the Treasurer of the Parish Life Committee, Zina Kennedy. Parishioners and guests
discussed a variety of parish projects and needs. The parish now has a new website, and Fr Paul
asked for vintage photos to fill out the photo gallery. One parishioner asked about the
possibility of streaming our services, which could be part of our outreach work. An update on
the icon restoration project highlighted the recent restoration of the St Seraphim icon, which is
much revered in the parish.
