
On the weekend of Saturday, August 1 through Sunday, August 2, His Eminence, Archbishop Michael of New York, the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, will make his annual archpastoral visit to our parish. The visit will begin with Great Vespers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday followed by a meal in the parish hall and discussion with His Eminence.
On Sunday, August 2, His Eminence will be greeted by parish representatives followed by the vesting of the bishop in the nave of the temple. The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Archbishop Michael presiding. The Reverend Paul Hunchak, acting rector of the parish and Protodeacon Paul Sokol of Flemington, New Jersey will serve with His Eminence. Following the Liturgy memorial prayers will be offered for Protopresbyter Leonid Kishkovsky, the long-time rector of the parish who fell asleep in the Lord, on August 3, 2021.
His Eminence will also present to the parish relics of the newly glorified St. Olga of Kwethluk to the parish for veneration.
A reception and meal will follow the services on Saturday and Sunday. All are welcome.
